Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is the latest installment in the Assassin’s Creed (AC) franchise. This game claims to bring back the traditional sneak and assassination gameplay that played loved from the earlier Assassin’s Creed games. Here’s what you need to know about the game!
What is Assassin’s Creed: Mirage?
Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is an action-adventure game that focuses on stealth, assassinations and parkour. Ubisoft claims that AC: Mirage will bring back the traditional gameplay that players loved in the original Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed: 2 and Brotherhood.
This return to the traditional gameplay means that Assassin’s Creed: Mirage will have limited RPG elements. Which means that AC: Mirage will feel like less like its predecessor; Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.
If you liked these RPG-themed Assassin’s Creed games, there is no need to worry. There are other Assassin’s Creed games in the works that do provide these RPG elements. Ubisoft also announced that they are working on Assassin’s Creed: Red which is an open world game set in feudal Japan.
Where is Assassin’s Creed Mirage set?
Assassin’s Creed: Mirage is set in 9th century Baghdad, 20 years before the events of Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. In Mirage you play as Basim Ibn Ishaq. A character that was introduced in Valhalla.
As can be seen in the trailer, Basim is a street thief that gets inducted into the Hidden Ones. This group will later transform into the Assassin Brotherhood that fights against the Templars. There is also Roshan, a master assassin who teaches Basim what it takes to be a Hidden One.
