After about 45 minutes of playing Hogwarts Legacy, it’s time to choose a house. This is done through the traditional sorting hat ceremony that we are familiar with from the books and movies. Here’s how to get the house you want in Hogwarts Legacy.
Choose Daring, Curiosity, Loyalty or Ambition?
Before you make the important choice between Daring, Curiosity, Loyalty or Ambition in Hogwarts Legacy, the Sorting Hat first speaks about preconceptions and expectations. This leads to two options:
- I can’t wait to start classes
- I can’t wait to explore
These options have no effect on the house sorting decision.
After this, the Sorting Hat detects a certain sense and presents you with four options, which are crucial in determining the house to which you are sorted.
- Daring results in Gryffindor
- Curiosity results in Ravenclaw
- Loyalty results in Hufflepuff
- Ambition results in Slytherin
If you are unhappy with the outcome, you have the option to select a different house by pressing the ESC key on PC.
Can you change your house?
This is not possible. You cannot change your house after the Sorting Hat ceremony in Hogwarts Legacy.
How do you choose your house?
The house you choose is mainly for role-playing purposes. The houses have no advantages over one another. The main differences are the common rooms and an NPC you encounter later in the game.
